Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious musical institutions, will perform at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome on February 18, 2027. The orchestra’s repertoire is broad, encompassing works from the Baroque period through contemporary compositions, with a particular strength in Italian opera and symphonic literature. Historically, the orchestra has been associated with prominent Italian composers and conductors, maintaining a tradition of technical excellence and artistic interpretation.
The Auditorium Parco della Musica, inaugurated in 2002, is a major cultural complex designed by Renzo Piano. The *Santa Cecilia Hall*, where the performance will take place, is its largest concert venue, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and modern design. The hall’s interior features a sculpted wooden skin intended to optimize sound diffusion and create an intimate atmosphere despite its considerable size (approximately 2,884 seats). The auditorium itself was conceived as a response to Rome’s lack of a dedicated modern concert space suitable for large orchestral performances and aims to be a central hub for musical activity within the city. It hosts a diverse range of musical genres beyond classical music as well.
