Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s leading orchestras, will perform at Auditorium Parco Della Musica Di Roma’s Santa Cecilia Hall on January 7, 2027. The orchestra has a long and distinguished history, tracing its origins back to 1585, and is known for its interpretations of both standard orchestral repertoire and contemporary works. While historically rooted in Italian opera and the bel canto tradition, the orchestra regularly performs music spanning from the Baroque period to the 21st century, demonstrating versatility across musical eras.
Auditorium Parco Della Musica, inaugurated in 2011, is a major concert complex designed by Renzo Piano. The Santa Cecilia Hall, the largest venue within the complex, is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and modern architectural design. Its shape is inspired by a musical instrument – specifically a string instrument soundboard – and features a distinctive wooden structure intended to optimize sound diffusion. The hall accommodates approximately 2,884 people and is considered one of Rome’s premier performance spaces for classical music. It hosts a diverse range of performances beyond orchestral concerts including jazz, contemporary music and dance.
