Experience Nobuyuki Tsujii live on November 5th

Nobuyuki Tsujii, a Japanese pianist who gained international recognition as the joint first-prize winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will perform at the Royal Festival Hall in London on November 5th, 2026. Tsujii is known for his deeply expressive and technically brilliant performances, often characterized by a romantic sensibility and a nuanced approach to phrasing. Despite being born blind, he possesses a remarkable ability to memorize and interpret complex musical scores, frequently performing works from the standard classical repertoire alongside lesser-known compositions.

The Royal Festival Hall, situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, is London’s largest concert and event venue. Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain, it was envisioned as a national centre for contemporary arts. Designed by Leslie Martin and Peter Moro, its modernist architectural style has become iconic. Throughout its history, the hall has hosted a diverse range of performances including classical music concerts – for which it is particularly renowned – orchestral performances, ballet, opera, and contemporary music events. It underwent significant refurbishment between 2003 and 2007 to improve acoustics and facilities while retaining its original character.
