Experience Nobuyuki Tsujii live on October 12th

Nobuyuki Tsujii is a Japanese classical pianist renowned for his deeply expressive and technically brilliant performances despite being blind since birth. His playing is often characterized by a romantic sensibility, a powerful dynamic range, and a unique interpretive approach that emphasizes emotional depth. He frequently performs works from the standard repertoire – including composers like Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff – alongside lesser-known pieces, demonstrating a broad musical curiosity. He gained international recognition after winning the joint first prize at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

The concert is scheduled to take place at Juhachi Shinwa Hall / Nagasaki Sorakudo in Nagasaki Prefecture on October 12, 2026. Juhachi Shinwa Hall, also known as Nagasaki Sorakudo, holds historical significance as it was originally constructed in 1912 as part of the Nagasaki Prefectural Government building. Following damage during World War II, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1958 as a dedicated cultural venue. The hall is noted for its excellent acoustics and its role in preserving and promoting arts and culture within the Nagasaki region. It’s a relatively intimate space contributing to a close connection between performer and audience.
