Nightmares On Wax is a British electronic music group, central to the development of the downtempo and trip-hop genres since their formation in 1988. Their sound blends elements of jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop with atmospheric electronic production, often featuring sampled vocals and a generally relaxed, groove-focused aesthetic. Throughout their career, they’ve released numerous albums and remixes, gaining international recognition for their innovative approach to electronic music.

Prospect is a harbourside venue in Bristol known for its industrial aesthetic and focus on showcasing diverse musical talent. Originally a historic transit shed used for importing and exporting goods – specifically tobacco – it underwent significant redevelopment in the early 2000s to become a cultural space. The building retains many original features including high ceilings, exposed brickwork, and large windows overlooking the harbour. It now operates as a multi-purpose arts venue hosting concerts, club nights, exhibitions and other events. Its capacity is approximately 500-600 people depending on event setup. The venue frequently hosts acts spanning electronic, post-punk, jazz and world music genres.
