Nialand is a musical project spearheaded by artist Niall Lawlor, creating atmospheric and emotionally resonant electronic music. His sound blends elements of ambient, IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), and post-rock, often featuring intricate sound design and melancholic melodies. Lawlor has released music on labels including Erased Tapes and operates as an independent artist, garnering recognition for his immersive live performances.

The venue for the performance, Secret Location, is a multi-disciplinary arts space in New York City’s Lower East Side. Originally established in 2018 by DJ Jonathan Toubin, it began as a haven for niche music genres like garage rock and soul, hosting regular dance parties and live bands. Following Toubin’s passing in 2023, the venue was acquired by a collective of artists and musicians committed to continuing its legacy as a platform for experimental and underground culture.

Secret Location is known for its intimate setting and focus on high-quality sound. It deliberately maintains a low profile, eschewing extensive external promotion in favor of building community through word-of-mouth and curated events. The space regularly features performances spanning electronic music, visual art installations, and film screenings.
