Nearly Dead is a four-piece band originating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, performing a blend often described as ska-punk and reggae fusion. Their sound incorporates elements of traditional ska rhythms with the energy and instrumentation common to punk rock, frequently featuring horn sections and upbeat tempos. The group has released multiple albums independently and toured extensively throughout the East Coast and beyond, gaining a dedicated following within the American ska revival scene.

The Rex Theatre in Manchester, New Hampshire, has a history rooted in entertainment dating back to its initial construction in 1914. Originally built as a vaudeville house and silent film cinema, it underwent several transformations over the decades including periods as a multi-screen movie theater. In recent years, The Rex has been renovated and repurposed as a live music venue and event space. It is known for its intimate setting and restored art deco architecture, maintaining much of its original character while accommodating contemporary performances. The venue regularly hosts national touring acts alongside local artists across diverse genres. Its capacity is approximately 400 standing or 250 seated.
