Nashville Symphony is recognized for its broad repertoire encompassing classical masterworks, contemporary compositions, and pops programming, frequently showcasing collaborations with prominent artists across genres. The ensemble maintains a commitment to musical education and community engagement throughout Middle Tennessee.

The concert on November 1st, 2026 will be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, completed in 2006. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the Center serves as the permanent home for the Nashville Symphony. Its architectural style draws inspiration from classical European concert halls while incorporating distinctly Southern elements. The hall’s acoustics were meticulously planned by acoustician Russell Johnson, aiming for clarity and warmth suitable for a variety of musical performances.

The Schermerhorn replaced the Symphony's previous venue, War Memorial Auditorium, which had limitations in size and acoustic quality. Funding for the project involved a significant public-private partnership, demonstrating community support for the arts. Beyond hosting symphony performances, the Schermerhorn also accommodates other musical genres including Broadway shows and popular music artists, functioning as a multi-purpose performance space within downtown Nashville.
