Monika Roscher Bigband will perform at Ampere in Munich on April 9, 2027. Ampere is a concert venue located in the industrial area of Freimann, north of Munich city center. Originally constructed as a machine hall for crane construction in 1900 by Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg (MAN), it was repurposed as a cultural space in the late 1980s. The venue has since become known for hosting a wide variety of musical acts, primarily focusing on rock, indie, metal and electronic music but also accommodating jazz and other genres. It maintains an intentionally raw and industrial aesthetic reflecting its historical origins; the building's original steel structure remains visible throughout the performance space. Ampere is noted for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere despite its relatively large capacity – approximately 650 standing or 400 seated guests.
