Molchat Doma, a Belarusian post-punk band formed in Minsk in 2017, will be performing at the Tower Theatre in Oklahoma City on September 11, 2026. The group’s music is characterized by its minimalist instrumentation, baritone vocals primarily sung in Russian, and lyrical themes often exploring alienation, societal anxieties, and the complexities of modern life. They are frequently associated with the “Russian Post-Punk” revival and have gained international recognition through online platforms and extensive touring.

The Tower Theatre originally opened in 1928 as a movie palace designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. It operated as a cinema for several decades before falling into disrepair. Following a significant restoration project completed in 2018, the venue was reopened as a multi-purpose performance space.

Today, the Tower Theatre hosts a variety of events including concerts, live theatre productions, comedy shows, and film screenings. The restored building retains many of its original architectural features including ornate plasterwork and a grand lobby while incorporating modern sound and lighting systems suitable for contemporary performances. It is located in the Paseo Arts District of Oklahoma City and has a capacity of approximately 900 people.
