Mogwai will perform at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on November 20, 2026. The band is a Scottish post-rock group, known for their largely instrumental compositions characterized by dynamic shifts in volume and texture, atmospheric soundscapes, and the use of effects-laden guitars. Their music often builds from quiet, minimalist passages to powerful, crescendo-like climaxes. Formed in 1995, Mogwai have released numerous critically acclaimed albums and contributed music to film soundtracks.

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall opened in 1990 and is a significant cultural venue within the city. Designed by architects Page\Park, it’s renowned for its acoustics and hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music, jazz, contemporary arts and large-scale concerts. The hall contains three performance spaces: the main auditorium (The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Auditorium), the New Auditorium – a smaller more flexible space – and Exhibition Hall.

The building incorporates Scottish materials such as granite and timber and features significant public art installations. It is located on Sauchiehall Street, a major thoroughfare in Glasgow city centre and plays an important role in the city’s artistic landscape.
