O2 City Hall Newcastle is a prominent entertainment venue located in the city centre. Originally constructed in 1935 as a cinema named the Paramount, it later operated as a bingo hall before being converted into a music and event space. The venue underwent significant refurbishment and rebranding as O2 City Hall in 2008. It is known for its art deco architecture and capacity of approximately 2,468 standing or 1,400 seated. The hall regularly hosts a diverse range of performances including concerts by both established artists and up-and-coming acts, comedy shows, and other live events.
