Microwave, a band originating from Atlanta, Georgia, will be performing at The Mothership in Taos, New Mexico on October 17, 2026. Their music is generally categorized as post-hardcore and math rock, characterized by complex instrumental arrangements, dynamic shifts in tempo and intensity, and emotionally resonant vocals. Formed in 2010, Microwave has released several EPs and full-length albums, gaining recognition within the independent rock scene for their intricate compositions and atmospheric soundscapes.

The Mothership is an outdoor music venue located just outside of Taos, New Mexico. Established in 1971 by artist Larry Thomas, it initially served as a personal art installation and gathering space before evolving into a performance venue. Known for its unique circular stage design constructed from salvaged materials and its remote desert location, The Mothership has hosted a diverse range of musical acts over the decades, with a particular focus on psychedelic rock, jam bands and experimental music. It’s become a notable landmark associated with the counterculture movement and continues to operate as a relatively intimate concert space emphasizing community and artistic expression. The venue's capacity is approximately 500 people.
