Meshell Ndegeocello’s performance on April 30, 2027, will take place at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco. Ndegeocello is a highly regarded bassist, vocalist, and songwriter known for her eclectic musical style. Her work blends elements of jazz, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and soul, often incorporating spoken word and political commentary. Throughout her career, she has consistently challenged genre boundaries and explored themes of identity, sexuality, and social justice. She released her debut album *Plant Life* in 1993 and has since released numerous critically acclaimed albums.

The SFJAZZ Center opened in 2013 and is dedicated to the performance, education, and preservation of jazz music. It is considered one of the premier jazz venues in the United States. Designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates Architects, the Center features the Robert N. Miner Auditorium – an 800-seat performance hall renowned for its acoustics – as well as smaller rehearsal spaces and educational facilities.
