Dominique Fils-Aimé is a Haitian-Canadian singer-songwriter whose music blends jazz, soul, and blues influences with lyrical themes often centered around identity, love, and societal observations. She has released three critically acclaimed albums – *Namaste*, *Stay True*, and *Our Names* – each exploring different facets of the Black experience.

Yoshi's Oakland is a renowned jazz club located in Oakland, California. Originally founded in Berkeley in 1974 by Yoshiaki “Yoshi” Matsuura, it quickly became a cornerstone of the Bay Area’s vibrant jazz scene. The club relocated to its current Jack London Square location in Oakland in 2007, offering a more spacious venue while maintaining its intimate atmosphere.
