Maxim Emelyanychev, a Russian countertenor renowned for his virtuosic technique and adventurous repertoire choices, will perform at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on January 20, 2027. Emelyanychev’s style blends Baroque and contemporary influences, frequently incorporating improvisation and a dynamic stage presence. He is particularly known for his interpretations of Handel and Vivaldi, but also actively commissions and performs new works, often exploring themes of spirituality and human emotion.
