St George’s Bristol is a Grade II* listed former church hall, originally built in 1867 as a venue for the expanding population of Clifton. Converted into a concert hall in 1975 following a period of disuse, it has become a significant cultural hub within Bristol. The building is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, owing to its original vaulted ceiling and carefully considered renovations. It hosts a diverse range of musical performances, including classical, jazz, world music and contemporary acts. St George's maintains a commitment to supporting emerging artists alongside established names and operates as an independent charitable organisation. The venue’s intimate setting allows for close connection between performers and audience members.
