Matmos is scheduled to perform at Archa Theatre in Prague, Czechia on June 25, 2026, with Swans as supporting artists. Matmos, the long-running electronic music duo comprised of Drew Daniel and M.C. Schmidt, is known for its highly conceptual and experimental approach to sound. Their work frequently incorporates non-traditional sound sources – plastic surgery procedures, lobster tank recordings, amplified hair cells – alongside conventional electronic instrumentation. Categorizing their music proves difficult; it draws from glitch, IDM, noise, and avant-garde traditions while often incorporating elements of pop structure. They’ve released albums on labels like Kranky and Warp Records since their formation in San Francisco in 1999.

Archa Theatre (often stylized as Archa+) is a multi-genre cultural center located in Prague's Holešovice district. Originally a mechanical workshop, the space was transformed into a theatre in 1996 and has since become a significant venue for contemporary circus, dance, theatre, concerts and visual arts. It’s recognized for its support of innovative and often politically engaged artistic projects. The venue regularly hosts both established international acts and emerging artists.
