Experience Martha Argerich live on March 20th

Martha Argerich will perform at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy on March 20, 2027. Argerich is internationally renowned for her intensely passionate and virtuosic piano playing. Her style is characterized by a powerful technique, rhythmic drive, and a distinctive, often impulsive approach to interpretation, particularly within Romantic and 20th-century repertoire. She is celebrated for her interpretations of composers such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Liszt, and Prokofiev.

The Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is one of the oldest musical institutions in the world. Founded in Rome in 1585 by Pope Sixtus V as a society dedicated to the arts, it initially focused on promoting sacred music. Over centuries it evolved into a leading conservatory, school and concert hall. Throughout its history, the Accademia has hosted performances by many prominent composers and performers. The institution’s concert hall, the Aula Magna, is known for its excellent acoustics and historical significance; it has undergone several renovations but retains much of its original architectural character. It currently operates under the patronage of the President of Italy and continues to serve as a vital center for musical education and performance in Italy.
