Classical Concerts in Boulogne-Billancourt

Experience Marianne Crebassa live on February 26th

Marianne Crebassa is a French mezzo-soprano renowned for her interpretations of mélodie – French art song – and chamber music. Her performances are frequently characterized by a delicate vocal color, nuanced phrasing, and a particular affinity for composers such as Gabriel Fauré and Ernest Chausson. She also explores repertoire beyond the traditional French song tradition, encompassing works by Mahler and Schubert, often in intimate settings with piano or small ensembles.

The Seine Musicale - Auditorium P.Devedjian is a prominent concert venue located in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb west of Paris. Opened in 2017, it was designed by Shigeru Ban Architects, known for its innovative use of materials like wood and cardboard. The building’s distinctive cloud-like structure is composed of prefabricated wooden modules.

The venue features two main performance spaces: the Grande Salle Paul Paray, a flexible auditorium seating up to 1,400 people with adjustable acoustics, and the Studio Seine, a smaller more intimate space. It's designed to accommodate diverse musical genres including classical, contemporary and popular music. The auditorium is named in honour of the French conductor Paul Paray.
