Maria BC will be performing at The Lubber Fiend in Newcastle upon Tyne on November 6th, 2026. Maria BC is a Romanian-born, Berlin-based artist known for her distinctive blend of deconstructed club music, experimental electronic soundscapes, and elements of trance and hardcore. Her work frequently incorporates vocal samples and explores themes of memory, identity, and the digital realm. She has released music on labels including Hyperdub and Soma Records, gaining recognition within underground electronic music scenes internationally.

The Lubber Fiend is a relatively new independent venue located in Newcastle upon Tyne, opening in late 2023. Situated on Lime Street, it quickly established itself as a focal point for alternative and experimental music and arts. The venue’s aesthetic prioritises a raw, intimate atmosphere; it's housed within a repurposed building retaining some original industrial features. It focuses heavily on showcasing emerging artists alongside established names in genres such as post-punk, noise, experimental electronic music and leftfield pop. The space also functions as an art gallery exhibiting works from local and international artists. Its capacity is approximately 150 people.
