Deradoorian, the musical project of Emily Lee, will perform at Cobalt Studios in Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne, on October 22nd, 2026. Deradoorian’s music is often described as experimental pop, blending elements of psychedelic rock, art-pop, and electronic music. Her work frequently incorporates layered vocal harmonies, unconventional song structures, and a distinctive use of instrumentation – often featuring harp alongside more traditional rock arrangements. Deradoorian released her debut album *Lemuria* in 2007 and has since released several critically acclaimed albums including *Mystical Racket* (2011) and *Dirty Loops* (2015), with her most recent release being *Source* in 2024.

Cobalt Studios is a long-established independent venue located in the Shieldfield area of Newcastle. Originally a metalworking factory, it was converted into a performance space and rehearsal rooms in the early 2000s. The studio is known for hosting a diverse range of underground and alternative music acts, particularly those within experimental, noise, and electronic genres. It maintains a reputation for supporting emerging artists and providing an intimate setting for live performances.
