Mari Boine will perform at Oslo Konzerthus on November 8, 2026. Boine is a Norwegian Sami singer, composer and producer recognized for her distinctive musical style often described as blending traditional Sami *joik* vocal techniques with elements of jazz, rock, and world music. Her work frequently addresses themes of Sami culture, identity, and political issues relating to indigenous rights. Boine began her musical career in the late 1980s and gained international recognition throughout the 1990s, becoming a significant figure in the development of contemporary Sami music.

Oslo Konzerthus is Norway’s premier concert hall, located in the city center. Completed in 1919, it serves as the home venue for the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. The building itself is noted for its Art Nouveau architecture and excellent acoustics. Originally designed by architect Holger Thiis Stang, it underwent significant renovation and expansion between 2020-2022 led by Snøhetta, adding new spaces while preserving the original hall’s character.
