Mannequin Pussy will be performing at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 13, 2026. The band is a Philadelphia-based punk rock group known for their emotionally raw and energetic sound, often categorized as post-hardcore or melodic hardcore. Their music blends elements of 90s emo with aggressive instrumentation and intensely personal lyrical content exploring themes of anxiety, trauma, and self-destruction. They have released several critically acclaimed albums including *Romantic*, *Patience*, and *Binary*.

The Burton Cummings Theatre originally opened as the Pantages Theatre in 1931. It was designed by architect H.C. Cowe and served as a vaudeville house and cinema before transitioning to live performances. In 1988, it was renamed in honour of Winnipeg musician Burton Cummings, lead singer of The Guess Who. The theatre underwent significant renovations in 2015, restoring many of its original Art Deco features while updating its technical capabilities. It is now a prominent venue hosting a diverse range of performances including concerts, Broadway shows, comedy acts, and dance recitals.
