Manchester Collective will perform at the Queen Elizabeth Hall & Purcell Room, part of the Southbank Centre, London on January 31st, 2027. The ensemble is recognised for its dynamic and boundary-pushing approach to classical music, frequently commissioning new works and collaborating with artists from diverse genres including electronic music, visual art, and poetry. Their performances often blend traditional string arrangements with contemporary soundscapes, aiming to create immersive and emotionally resonant experiences.

The Queen Elizabeth Hall, opened in 1967, is a prominent concert venue renowned for its acoustics and modernist architectural design by Hubert Bennett. It’s a key space within the Southbank Centre, a wider arts complex celebrating music, theatre, dance and visual art. The Purcell Room, a smaller studio theatre located within the same complex, provides a more intimate setting for performances and is named after the Baroque composer Henry Purcell. Both venues have hosted numerous internationally acclaimed musicians and ensembles across various disciplines since their inception. The Southbank Centre underwent significant refurbishment between 2016-2018 but retains its core architectural identity.
