Landgoed Schaep En Burgh is a historic estate located near Hilversum. Originally dating back to the 17th century, the current neo-classical building was largely constructed in 1886 by Baron van Voorst tot Voorst. The estate features extensive gardens designed in both English landscape and formal styles, including rhododendron valleys and a Japanese garden. Throughout its history, the estate has been privately owned and has served various functions including a residence for prominent families. In recent years it has become known as a venue for cultural events, including concerts and exhibitions, capitalizing on its picturesque setting and architectural significance. The grounds are recognized as a protected national monument (Rijksmonument).
