Classical Concerts in Geneva
Experience Ludovic Tézier live on June 23rd
Ludovic Tézier is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist known for his cinematic and emotionally resonant neoclassical music. His compositions frequently blend piano-driven melodies with electronic textures, orchestral arrangements, and field recordings, creating soundscapes often described as melancholic, atmospheric, and evocative of nature or memory. He releases music primarily through the Icelandic label Erased Tapes.
The concert will take place at Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) in Geneva. Originally constructed in 1901, the BFM was initially a power plant supplying electricity to the city of Geneva. It ceased functioning as a power station in 1963 and subsequently underwent a transformation into a cultural venue.
Today, BFM is a significant space for diverse artistic performances including concerts, club nights, exhibitions, and theatrical productions. Its industrial architecture – retaining many original features like large turbines and metal structures – contributes to its unique atmosphere. The venue is recognized for its high-quality acoustics and capacity to host both intimate gatherings and larger events. It’s operated by the City of Geneva and remains a prominent landmark within the city's cultural landscape.
