Experience Los Angeles Philharmonic live on August 11th
The Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on August 11, 2026. The orchestra is renowned for its adventurous programming and commitment to both standard repertoire and contemporary music, frequently commissioning new works and exploring diverse musical voices. Historically, the Philharmonic has been associated with conductors like Gustav Mahler and Arturo Toscanini, and currently maintains a reputation for innovative interpretations under Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel.
The Royal Albert Hall opened in 1871 and was originally named in memory of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. Designed by Captain Francis Fowke and Henry Scott Stokes, it is a distinctive circular building constructed primarily of iron and glass. The hall quickly became a central venue for large-scale events including classical concerts, promenade concerts (known as “The Proms”), and various other performances. Its acoustics have been modified over time to improve sound quality while retaining its unique character. It holds a Grade I listed building status in the United Kingdom, recognizing its architectural and historical significance. The hall's capacity is approximately 5,234 seats.
