Lora Szafran, a Polish-American pianist recognized for her interpretations of Romantic and 20th-century repertoire, will perform at the Krakow Philharmonic (Filharmonia Krakowska) on August 29, 2026. The Krakow Philharmonic boasts a significant history within Polish musical life. Established in 1909, it evolved from the Krakow Musical Society founded in 1877. Its current building, constructed between 1906 and 1910 according to designs by Rudolf Mauer and Tadeusz Stryjeński, is considered an architectural landmark of the Young Poland movement – characterized by its Art Nouveau influences and national romanticism.
