LMZG, the musical project of French composer and performer Laurent Garnier (though distinct from his techno work), will be performing at La Boule Noire in Paris, France on November 3, 2026. LMZG’s music is characterized by a blend of experimental electronic music, incorporating elements of jazz improvisation, field recordings, and minimalist composition. Often utilizing modular synthesizers and acoustic instruments, the soundscapes created are atmospheric and textural, moving away from traditional dancefloor structures towards more contemplative listening experiences.

La Boule Noire is a historic concert venue located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Originally built in 1864 as a ballroom, it underwent several transformations including periods as a cinema and a rehearsal space for theatre groups. It was notably revived as a dedicated music venue in the late 1980s becoming a key location for the burgeoning French acid jazz and electronic music scenes. The space retains much of its original Belle Époque architecture, contributing to its intimate and distinctive atmosphere. Over the years it has hosted diverse artists across genres while maintaining a focus on live performance and artistic experimentation. It's known for its excellent acoustics and relatively small capacity fostering close artist-audience interactions.
