Liquid Soul, the project of Adam Deitch, will perform at Garcia’s in Chicago on August 28, 2026. Liquid Soul’s music blends elements of jazz, funk, soul, and electronic dance music, often described as nu-jazz or future soul. Deitch, a drummer and producer, frequently incorporates live instrumentation with electronic production techniques, resulting in a sound characterized by complex rhythms and improvisational elements. The project has released albums on labels like Stones Throw Records and features collaborations with a diverse range of musicians.

Garcia's is a longstanding music venue located in the Adams Street Station area of Chicago. Originally established in 1978 by WXRT radio personality Barry Winograd, it initially served as a listening room focused on blues and roots music. Throughout its history, Garcia’s has hosted numerous nationally and internationally recognized artists across various genres including blues, jazz, rock and Americana. The venue underwent renovations and a temporary closure in 2023 before reopening under new ownership committed to continuing its legacy as a premier intimate live music space. It maintains a focus on high-quality sound and an attentive listening environment for audiences.
