Experience Black Marble live on September 5th

Black Marble is scheduled to perform at Thalia Hall in Chicago, Illinois on September 5, 2026. The band creates music generally categorized as darkwave, post-punk, and synth-pop, often characterized by its melancholic atmosphere, driving basslines, and use of synthesizers alongside traditional rock instrumentation. Formed in Brooklyn, New York around 2017 by Chris Stewart, Black Marble has released several albums and EPs receiving recognition within the independent music scene for its revivalist yet contemporary sound.

Thalia Hall itself is a historic venue located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. Originally constructed in 1892 as a German cultural center and performance space for the city’s large German immigrant population, it served various purposes throughout the 20th century including a movie palace and furniture store. Following extensive renovations completed in 2018, Thalia Hall was restored to its original function as a multi-purpose performance venue. It now hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical productions and community gatherings. The building’s architecture features ornate detailing reflective of its late 19th-century origins and includes a restaurant and bar alongside the main performance hall.
