The Leonkoro Quartet will perform at the Perelman Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 9, 2027. The quartet is recognized for interpretations characterized by a distinctive blend of intellectual rigor and emotional depth. Their repertoire spans from the Classical period to contemporary works, with a particular focus on late Beethoven quartets, Schubert’s cycles, and compositions by 20th and 21st-century composers like György Ligeti and Thomas Adès. The Perelman Theater, located within the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, opened in 1992. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, it is known for its exceptional acoustics and flexible design. Originally named the Philadelphia Civic Center Music Hall, it was renamed in honor of Raymond G. and Nina F. Perelman in 2008 following a significant donation.
