Leftover Salmon is a band widely recognized as pioneers of bluegrass-influenced jam band music, often described as “polyethnic Cajun slamgrass.” Their sound blends elements of bluegrass, rock, folk, Cajun, and Latin music, characterized by energetic performances and intricate instrumental interplay. Formed in Telluride, Colorado in 1989, the group gained a dedicated following through extensive touring and a distinctive musical approach.
The Brinton Museum, located in Big Horn County, Wyoming, serves as a cultural and artistic resource for the region. Founded by Bradford Brinton in 1965, the museum initially showcased his personal collection of Western and Native American art. Over time, its holdings have expanded to include significant collections of American Impressionist paintings, sculpture, and contemporary Western art.
The museum itself is situated on the historic Brinton Ranch, offering visitors a unique setting amidst the Bighorn Mountains. The property features a main museum building designed in a ranch-style architecture alongside walking paths and outdoor sculpture gardens. The museum focuses on presenting art within the context of the American West’s history and landscape.
