Leftover Salmon will perform as part of the Strings & Sol music festival in Puerto Morelos, Mexico on December 9, 2026. The band is known for its distinctive blend of bluegrass, rock, folk, Cajun, and blues, often categorized as “polyethnic cajun slamgrass.” Formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1989, Leftover Salmon gained prominence for their energetic live performances and innovative instrumentation featuring banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, and drums.

Strings & Sol is an annual beachfront music festival focusing on the jamgrass and Americana music scenes. Inaugurated in 2023, it quickly established itself as a destination event attracting fans from across North America and beyond. The festival takes place at the Now Sapphire resort in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo. It’s characterized by intimate performance settings – typically multiple stages located directly on the beach – and a focus on fostering a community atmosphere among musicians and attendees.
