The Isarphilharmonie, inaugurated in 2021, is a modern concert hall located in the Gasteig cultural complex in Munich. It replaced the previous Gasteig concert hall which had served as a major cultural venue since 1985 but faced structural limitations. The new hall was designed by architects Henning Larsen and features a vineyard-style seating arrangement intended to enhance acoustics and create a closer connection between performers and audience. The hall’s acoustics were designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, renowned for his work on concert halls globally.
