Kremerata Baltica, a chamber orchestra founded in 1997 by violinist Gidon Kremer, will perform at Zeit, Līgatne, Latvia on July 24, 2026. The ensemble is renowned for its interpretations of classical and contemporary works, frequently exploring repertoire beyond the standard orchestral canon. Their style is characterized by a distinctive sound—often described as emotionally charged and technically brilliant—and a commitment to innovative programming that blends established composers with emerging voices. Kremerata Baltica often features collaborations with internationally acclaimed soloists.

Zeit is a contemporary cultural space located in Līgatne, Latvia, housed within the restored buildings of the former Līgatne Paper Mill. Originally built in the 1930s as part of a planned workers’ town, the mill played a significant role in Latvia’s industrial history. Following decades of operation, the mill ceased production and the site underwent extensive renovation beginning in 2018 to transform it into a multidisciplinary arts center. The complex now hosts exhibitions, concerts, workshops and residencies, aiming to foster creative exchange and revitalize the region's cultural landscape while preserving its industrial heritage.
