Kodaline, an Irish rock band formed in 2006, will be performing at Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, Japan on August 14, 2026. The band is known for its emotive and atmospheric sound, often categorized as indie folk-rock or alternative rock. Their music frequently features soaring vocals, piano-driven melodies, and lyrical themes centered around love, loss, and human connection. They gained prominence with singles like “All I Want” and have released multiple studio albums achieving international recognition.

Expo '70 Commemorative Park was originally created as the site for the Japan World Exposition in 1970, also known as Expo '70. This event marked a significant moment in Japan’s post-war economic growth and showcased Japanese technological advancements to the world. Following the exposition, the site was repurposed into a large public park retaining several original structures from the event including the iconic Tower of the Sun designed by Taro Okamoto. The park now functions as a recreational space featuring gardens, museums – including the Expo '70 Commemorative Hall – and open areas for events such as concerts.
