Kian Soltani is an Iranian-French cellist recognized internationally for his deeply expressive and technically assured performances. His musical style is rooted in the classical tradition, but frequently incorporates a lyrical and intensely personal interpretation, often drawing comparisons to artists like Rostropovich and Casals. He is known for a repertoire spanning from Bach’s solo suites to contemporary compositions, with a particular affinity for works that explore emotional depth and narrative storytelling.

L’Auditorium De Lyon, situated within the Lyon Confluence district, opened in November 2014. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it is a significant cultural venue in France dedicated to classical music, jazz, and world music. The auditorium boasts exceptional acoustics achieved through its modular design; adjustable elements allow the hall's volume to be altered depending on the performance requirements – ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 seats. It serves as the primary concert hall for the Orchestre National de Lyon and hosts numerous international ensembles and soloists annually. The building’s exterior features a distinctive metallic façade intended to reflect the surrounding landscape and light conditions of Lyon. It's considered a landmark example of contemporary concert hall architecture.
