KeiyaA is scheduled to perform at DC9 on June 24, 2026. The artist, originally from Chicago and now based in New York City, creates music often described as experimental R&B, incorporating elements of jazz, soul, and electronic production. Her work frequently features layered vocals, introspective lyricism addressing themes of identity and Black womanhood, and a deliberately lo-fi aesthetic. She released her debut album *Everything Is Everything* in 2020 to critical acclaim, followed by *Uncommon Wounds* in 2023.

DC9 is a longstanding independent music venue located in the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C.. Opened in 2007, it has become known for hosting a diverse range of emerging and established artists across genres including indie rock, electronic music, hip-hop and alternative.
