Experience Dominique Fils-Aimé live on September 16th
Dominique Fils-Aimé will perform at Bethesda Theatre on September 16, 2026. Fils-Aimé is a Haitian-Canadian singer-songwriter whose music is often described as a blend of soul, jazz, and blues, frequently incorporating elements of spoken word and poetic lyricism. Her work often explores themes of identity, love, and social justice, delivered with a distinctive vocal style characterized by both vulnerability and strength. She has released three studio albums – *Nameless*, *Stay Wild*, and *Our Names* – all receiving critical acclaim for their musicality and lyrical depth.
Bethesda Theatre originally opened in 1922 as a silent movie house named the Bethesda Picture Palace. Throughout its history, it operated under various names including the Avalon Theatre and the Landmark Theatre before becoming the Bethesda Theatre in 2019 following extensive renovations. The venue underwent significant modernization while retaining many of its original architectural features, including ornate plasterwork and a proscenium arch. It now functions as a multi-purpose performance space hosting concerts, film screenings, comedy shows, and other live events. The theatre has a capacity of approximately 800 standing or 500 seated attendees.
