Kateryna Kasper, a Ukrainian pianist recognized for her deeply expressive interpretations and technically brilliant performances of Romantic and 20th/21st-century repertoire, will perform at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona on June 16, 2026. The Gran Teatre del Liceu, often simply referred to as the Liceu, is Barcelona’s opera house and one of Europe’s most important. Originally founded in 1847 by a group of Barcelona’s leading citizens in the building formerly occupied by the Convent of the Trinitaries, it has a complex history marked by periods of political upheaval and artistic innovation. The original building was largely destroyed by fire in 1994 and subsequently rebuilt, reopening in 1999 with modernized facilities while retaining much of its historical character.
