Jazz Concerts in Seattle
Experience Jun Iida live on July 18th
Jun Iida, a Japanese-born, Seattle-based composer and multi-instrumentalist, will perform at the Oxbow on July 18, 2026. Iida’s musical style blends elements of ambient, drone, and experimental electronic music, often incorporating field recordings and processed acoustic instruments to create immersive and textural soundscapes. His work frequently explores themes of memory, place, and the relationship between natural and artificial environments. He has released albums on labels such as Room40 and is known for site-specific installations alongside his recorded output.
The Oxbow is a performance and visual arts space located in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. Originally a metal fabrication workshop, it was transformed into an independent arts venue in 1998. The space is characterized by its raw industrial aesthetic – concrete floors, exposed ductwork, and high ceilings – which contributes to its unique atmosphere. It consistently hosts experimental music, performance art, film screenings and visual art exhibitions with a focus on supporting emerging and established artists working outside of mainstream channels. The venue is known for its strong commitment to fostering a diverse artistic community within Seattle.
