Julius Asal, a contemporary composer gaining recognition for his emotionally resonant and texturally complex works, will present a concert at Jerwood Hall – LSO St Luke’s on February 12, 2027. Asal’s compositions often blend elements of post-minimalism with a lyrical sensibility, frequently incorporating extended techniques and exploring themes of memory and perception. His work has been commissioned by ensembles across Europe and North America.

Jerwood Hall – LSO St Luke’s is a meticulously restored former church located in Islington, London. Originally built in 1860 as Holy Trinity Church, it was decommissioned in 1995 and subsequently became the home of the London Symphony Orchestra’s community and educational programs. The building underwent significant renovation completed in 2003, transforming it into a world-class performance space renowned for its exceptional acoustics.

The hall's design retains many of its original architectural features while incorporating modern facilities suitable for a variety of events. Its intimate setting—a relatively small capacity compared to larger concert halls—contributes to a particularly close connection between performers and audience.
