Originally constructed between 1959 and 1963 as the broadcasting headquarters for Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF), now Radio France, the building was designed by architect Henry Bernard. The auditorium itself is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and has hosted performances by numerous internationally acclaimed orchestras and soloists. It underwent significant renovation work completed in 2018 to further enhance its facilities and preserve its architectural heritage.
