Jeremy Dutcher will perform at the Lensic Performing Arts Centre in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 8, 2026. Dutcher is a Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) musician whose work blends traditional Wolastoqey songs with modern instrumentation, often described as baroque pop or chamber pop. He frequently incorporates recordings of his grandmother and other elders into his compositions, creating a unique soundscape that honors his cultural heritage while exploring themes of identity, language revitalization, and intergenerational connection. His debut album, *Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakon*, won the 2019 Polaris Music Prize.

The Lensic Performing Arts Centre occupies a historic building originally constructed in 1931 as a movie palace. Designed in the Pueblo Deco style by architect George E. Grenville, it initially operated as the Lensic Theatre, showcasing films and vaudeville acts. After periods of decline and eventual closure in the 1990s, a community-led restoration project revitalized the venue. It reopened in 2001 as a performing arts center hosting a diverse range of events including concerts, dance performances, theatrical productions, lectures and film screenings.
