Georg Elser Halle is a concert venue located in the St. Pauli district of Hamburg. Originally constructed in 1901 as a market hall (“Markthalle”), it underwent several transformations before becoming a dedicated event space. It was named in honour of Georg Elser, a German carpenter and resistance fighter who attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1939. The hall is noted for its industrial aesthetic – retaining much of its original architectural character including exposed steel beams and concrete floors – creating a distinctive atmosphere for performances. Throughout its history, the venue has hosted a diverse range of events, including concerts across various genres, theatrical productions and parties. It’s capacity is approximately 800 people standing or 500 seated.
