Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO), under the artistic leadership of Wynton Marsalis, will perform at Konserthuset Stockholm on December 5, 2026. The JLCO is renowned for its dedication to preserving and promoting the legacy of big band jazz, encompassing a repertoire spanning from early jazz through swing, Latin, and contemporary compositions. Their performances emphasize both faithful interpretations of classic arrangements by figures like Duke Ellington and Count Basie, alongside new works commissioned from leading contemporary composers. The orchestra features 15 of America’s leading jazz soloists and ensemble players.

Konserthuset Stockholm, inaugurated in 1929, is Sweden’s national concert hall and a prominent landmark in the city. Designed by architect Ivar Tengbom, it is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, largely due to its shoe-box shaped design inspired by the Musikverein in Vienna. The hall regularly hosts the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and welcomes internationally acclaimed artists across various genres. Its interior features artwork by Swedish artists including Adam Elmgren and Carl Milles.
