Experience Janine Jansen live on December 2nd
Janine Jansen is a Dutch-American violinist renowned for her compelling interpretations and technically assured performances across a broad repertoire. Her playing is often described as possessing both lyrical beauty and vibrant energy, encompassing works from the Baroque period through to contemporary compositions. She frequently collaborates with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide, and is known for her insightful approach to familiar pieces and championing lesser-known works.
The concert on December 2nd, 2026, will be held at LSO St Luke’s in London. Originally St Luke’s Church, the building has a history dating back to 1733, designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor. It served as a parish church until 1995 when it was acquired by the London Symphony Orchestra.
Following extensive restoration, LSO St Luke’s reopened in 2003 as a performance space and community hub. The venue is notable for its exceptional acoustics, stemming from its architectural design and careful acoustic engineering during the renovation process. It's designed to provide an intimate concert experience, differing significantly from the larger Barbican Centre, the LSO’s primary home.
