Jaime Martín is a Spanish conductor and clarinetist known for his versatile musicianship and interpretations spanning classical and contemporary repertoire. His conducting style is often described as sensitive and insightful, with a particular affinity for Spanish composers alongside core orchestral works. He frequently champions lesser-known 20th and 21st-century pieces, demonstrating a commitment to broadening orchestral programming. Martín previously served as Music Director of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and currently holds positions with several orchestras internationally.

The Palais de la Musique et des Congrès (PMC) in Strasbourg, France, opened in 2000. Designed by architect Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, the venue serves as a major cultural hub for the Alsace region and beyond. It’s notable for its modular design, featuring a large concert hall – the Salle des Festivals – capable of accommodating over 1,200 people, alongside numerous smaller halls suitable for conferences, exhibitions, and more intimate performances. The PMC was conceived as part of a larger urban renewal project aimed at revitalizing the area around the railway station. It hosts a diverse range of events including classical music concerts, contemporary music performances, opera productions, dance recitals, and large-scale congresses.
